This looks to be an easy opportunity for Liverpool playing at Anfield against a weak team in Sion. Daniel Sturridge has made a massive difference to them since returning from injury and looks to be in form after hitting two goals against Villa. FC Sion are not a very good side and are in poor form, they have lost their last two matches domestically – 1-0 at home to FC Vaduz and 2-0 away to Grasshopper Club Zurich. This team should not be good enough to trouble Liverpool (even though plenty of people thought that about Carlisle!).
Liverpool drew their first Europa League group game 1-1 away at Bordeaux and a win here would make them heavy favourites to progress. If you are looking for value then I would not put you off backing Liverpool on the half-time full-time market or to cover a goal handicap – these each pay around 2.10, but Liverpool should comfortably get the win so backing them in the 90 minute market looks to be buying money.
