Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern

Here it is, the pinnacle of the 2012/2013 football season. Two German teams face each other in the UEFA Champions League Final, that will take place in London, on Wembley Stadium. The road both teams undergone to reach it, the squads, the players, everything is known. Now, both teams already played 4 times this season, with Bayern winning 2 at Allianz Arena (for the Super Cup and for the DFB Pokal). The two games in the Bundesliga ending with 1:1 draws. I've said this after the first game of the group stage and I will say it again, IMO, Dortmund has been focused on the Champions League from the first game they played this season. The group they've got, their disappointing European campaign last season and the winning of everything in Germany the previous ones, were the reasons that led them to that road, which paid off and here they are, on the CL Final. All due my respects to Bayern's opponents in the CL group stage, Valencia, Lille and BATE, but Dortmund got much harder group, with teams of much bigger quality, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Ajax. Till the group stage was over, it's fair to say that Bayern had already pretty much won the Bundesliga. In both Bayern wins over BVB this season, the hosts showed much higher motivation and won deservedly, but IMO Dortmund were not playing at their best, not because Bayern cancelled them out, simply because they lacked motivation. This might sound funny to some of the readers, but that's my opinion, after watching the games. Bayern should be still able to win and repent for last year, but I expect hard game for them and that to happen after ET/penalties. This is to be the 4th CL Final, with teams from one country, in recent times, 2 of the previous 3 were decided after penalties. Draw in regular time.

CA Bastia vs Creteil

Last round in French National and this game could be historical for CA Bastia. They still have a chance to promote in Ligue 2 if they win this match and if Fréjus loses at Red Star. Fréjus will have a difficult match because Red Star needs to win in order to stay in National so this match isn't won in advance that's why CA Bastia can believe in its chance. Firstly, they need to beat at home the leader, Créteil, who has nothing to play. At home, CA Bastia won 14 of its 18 matchs this season ! Big big game for Lille here, as Lyon and Nice play against each other this weekend and if Nice manage to win their match and in the same time Lille snatch all the points against the ex champions, than the three points will be even on third place with 63 points each and the goal difference will play, as right now Lyon have two goals advantage over Lille, but if the two outcomes above happen, this goal difference will be at least equal or in favor of Lille, just one round before the end of the campaign. There is no question that the visitors will throw everything in this match and will go for the three points, as the draw just won't be enough. Also anything less than a victory can bring them down from the current fourth position, or in other words they can lose even their Europa League place. Still, Lille showed that they have problems in defense recently, conceding three goals from Sochaux and than four from Toulouse in just seven days time and this is why I think the most value in this game has the over. Eleven of the last twelve games for Lille in all competitions ended with over 2.5 goals and having in mind the fact that only the three points suits them, the attacking display from the visitors is without any question. Montpellier is playing for nothing. The team surely had not imagine such a season, after winning the title in the last campaign, but honestly their potential is not for more than fifth or sixth place max right now, so this is just the painful truth for them. And even so, "Stade de la Mosson" is extremely hard place and it is surely really hard to get three points from there, as in the campaign so far just three teams managed to do that (11-4-3) and this are Lyon, Marseille and Evian. Also Montpellier eleven times in their last fifteen games here (11-2-1), losing only against Lyon in this period, as the winning goal for the visitors came in the injury time. So, despite already playing for nothing, this will be also their last game of the season at this stadium and the players will try and make this evening enjoyable for their fans. Also the last six games for Montpellier in the league ended with over 2.5 goals in them.
